Paying for a memory care facility in Georgia usually involves a mix of personal resources, insurance, and government programs. Here are the most common options:
- Private Pay (Savings, Retirement Income, Home Sale, or Family Support): Most families pay for memory care using personal savings, retirement accounts, proceeds from selling a home, or help from family members.
- Long-Term Care Insurance: Some long-term care insurance policies cover memory care. Check your policy or talk to your provider to see what’s included.
- Medicaid (Georgia Medicaid & Community Care Services Program): Georgia Medicaid can help cover memory care costs through the Community Care Services Program (CCSP) and the Service Options Using Resources in a Community Environment (SOURCE) waiver.
