Paying for a memory care facility in Colorado typically involves a combination of personal funds, insurance, and government programs. Here are the most common options:
- Private Pay (Savings, Assets, or Family Support): Most families pay for memory care out of pocket, using savings, retirement funds, home sale proceeds, or help from family members.
- Long-Term Care Insurance: Some long-term care insurance policies provide coverage for memory care. Check your policy details or consult your insurance provider to confirm.
- Medicaid (Health First Colorado & HCBS Waivers): Colorado’s Medicaid program is called Health First Colorado.
